Alabaster’s Movie in the Park
There was a time when watching movies was an outdoor event. Watching movies doesn’t just involve people going to cinemas and all but it is right outside a park and people can just stay in their cars while movies are being played and everyone can be in the comfort of their own vehicles or whatever it is they choose - this is what some people would call “old school” but to others, especially in Alabaster - this is fun. In Alabaster, having and watching movies in the park is one of the activities they have scheduled for the community. Not only would this provide the benefits to a person of watching movies in the cinema, but the idea of bringing back the old days is immensely classic!
For this year, 2018, it is scheduled to be held at Veterans Park located at 7305 Highway 119, Alabaster on the following Fridays in June and July:
- June 8
- June 22
- July 6
- July 20
Although the actual movies that will be shown are yet to be determined, the city will ensure that this is the best movie for its viewers and that they will really enjoy in this activity.
Admission to this event is for free and all you and your family need to bring would be food, snacks, a blanket, a chair and whatever will make watching movies more comfortable for you.
As mentioned earlier, this is the city’s simple way of entertaining its locals as well as its visitors and they can be surely proud of this event as not all cities, big or small, are doing this regularly. Aside from the happiness and excitement this brings to its movie goers, this Movie in the Park event also culminates the proactiveness of everyone to lay out other activities that they will feel will benefit them and the other people in their area. In this simple way, the city promotes the fact that they are open to all kinds of idea that would make this place the most wanted place to live in and a raise a family, not just within the state but also within the country.
